National Fraud Investigator - Divisional Investigations Managers

A leading UK retailer is seeking to recruit a National Fraud Investigator/Divisional Investigations Manager to cover almost a quarter of their UK stores. Every UK retail store chain suffers a degree of loss caused by employee theft and fraud. This retailer employs a team of specialists to mitigate this risk, each person responsible for identifying and closing fraud risks across several large regions. To successfully reduce loss caused by fraud, the successful applicant will quickly establish themselves by closing a high volume of cases, and by maintaining a high degree of presence by communicating with and influencing Head Office, Divisional, Regional and Store Management.   • Identifying employee fraud and theft from within large volumes of data from multiple sources.
  • Delivery of challenging KPI's including high volume and high value of cases.
  • Building cases, gathering evidence
  • Conducting interviews
  • Case hand over to disciplinary managers, HR and law enforcement as appropriate.
  • Continuous engagement with Divisional, Regional and Store Management to ensure the subject remains high on their agenda.

The successful candidate will be:-


  • A high energy individual, self motivated and results driven with a Can Do attitude.
  • Able to demonstrate a strong analytical ability, easily identifying fraud cases.
  • Highly computer literate, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Comfortable with challenging and influencing at all levels.
  • Capable of decision making, prioritising and delivering results with minimal supervision.
  • A strong PEACE model interviewer capable of establishing the truth with difficult interview subjects
  • A positive impact on their colleagues, with the enthusiasm to continually improve results.
  • Resilient and able deal with conflict/ambiguity.
  • Very hard working, producing a large volume of quality cases
